Who are you?

As a Technical Big Data Team Lead at Albacross, you will lead a Team using the latest technology to structure and learn from our data. You will join the team of adventurers looking to provide business insight and value through data. You have your own ideas, innovations and are ready to bring them to the table. You will be working with a talented Development team of Backend/Data Software Engineers, Frontend Engineers, QA, Product Manager and a UX/UI Designer. 

We need that you bring:

1. Excellent communication skills
   You will be discussing a lot with interlocutors from various departments - both technical and business oriented. You need to express your thoughts in a concise, organized and clear manner
2. Big data software development background, with technologies like:
   
   • Scala
   • Spark
   • AWS or other cloud provider
   • Elasticsearch
   • Github
3. Being able to lead technical team in terms of designing, consulting and suggesting architectural level decisions
4. Very good organizational and prioritization skills
   Daily work will require to switch between and prioritize multiple parallel tasks which might include (but are not limited to):
   
   • Participating in defining technical roadmap, architecture and general product direction,
   • Reviewing teammates PR’s
   • Organizing JIRA backlog
   • Coordinating work between frontend, backend and QA teams
   • Helping product owners
   • Guiding and helping less experienced team members
   • Participating in recruitment of other backend developers
5. Being able and willing to occasionally write code
6. Knowledge of project management related tools like JIRA, Productboard
7. Fluency in business English
